English: Do magnetic fields influence the breeding of crystals?

The Fredersdorf company “AUTEAM” researches with partners in crystal breeding.

“We develop the control systems”, Georg Bethin declares with proud voice. The managing director from Fredersdorf participates in a cross border research project with his “AUTEAM Industrie-Elektronik GmbH”. The project is sponsored by Berlin and Brandenburg. “We want to find out how magnetic fields influence the breeding of crystals.”

Silicon crystals are an important base material for many micro electronic components and are needed also for the production of solar cells. The manufacturer who produces these crystals at abetter price and quality than other manufacturers has a market advantage.

The Berlin institute for crystal breeding and the enterprise “steremat elektrowaerme” are looking for new production methods. For the control systems of the crystal pulling plants the partners fetched the small Fredersdorfer company “AUTEAM” for the project.

“AUTEAM” has great experiences with control systems for machines and plants. Engineers and inventors have set up the enterprise in 1990. The employees of the company develop controls, program the software for it and build the control cubicles for the control systems.

"If a mechanical engineer asks us for a control, we can deliver the suitable system for his plant two to three weeks after his call", says the managing director. In 2004 “AUTEAM” was awarded with the Future Prize East Brandenburg for its innovative work by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Frankfurt (Oder) and the local newspaper.

Stack systems are a special subject of “AUTEAM”. Controls from Fredersdorf make sure, for example, that woodworking machineries take wooden brutes at the beginning of a production chain, bring them to the saw or other working machines and put the finished product down at the end cleanly stacked. Of course these processes work automatically. The same principle is used for the production of windows or other series products.

“AUTEAMS´s” control systems  are also used by municipal and public utility companies. We do not focus on a special group of customers or a specific line of business. So we increase the marketing opportunities and safeguard our market position”, managing director Georg Bethin says.
